Privacy Policy
Kizuna is a private two-person prompt app for people who want deeper connections. One prompt. Two answers. Just connection. This policy explains the data needed to run private sync, pairing, notifications, safety controls, and account deletion.
No public feeds
Short version: the app has no public feeds, public profiles, likes, followers, discovery, or response posting. Text, voice, and video answers are encrypted on your iPhone before private sync. The relay is designed to store encrypted response envelopes, not plaintext answers.
Information the app uses
- Account and identity metadata, including Sign in with Apple identifiers and the display name used for pairing.
- Device metadata needed for private sync, device key registration, and notification routing.
- Pairing and relationship-space metadata, including invites, pair membership, room notification settings, and leave-pair state.
- Prompt round metadata, including prompt identifiers, timing, state, save choices, delete requests, and sync status.
- Encrypted response envelopes for text, audio, and video answers.
Private answers
Private answers are encrypted on the device before private sync. The relay is designed not to store plaintext text answers, plaintext audio, plaintext video, transcripts, sentiment analysis, or relationship scores.
Notifications
Push notifications, when enabled, use generic private-update text. Notification payloads should not include prompt text, answer text, media previews, relationship labels, or ciphertext.
Ads and subscriptions
The free tier includes one private conversation with text and voice answers. Kizuna Plus is an optional monthly subscription that unlocks multiple private conversations, video and photo answers, and an ad-free experience. Ads are shown only in approved, consent-gated placements to eligible free-tier users. Ads and subscriptions do not use private answers, prompts, relationship type, recordings, transcripts, or emotional inferences for targeting.
Screen capture
iOS screenshots cannot be fully blocked by normal third-party apps. The app hides private content during active screen recording or mirroring where iOS allows it and warns after screenshots.
Data deletion
The app includes account deletion and leave-pair flows. Deleting local data also removes keys needed to decrypt private answers on that iPhone. Unsaved rounds can be deleted automatically unless both people choose to save them.
Children
Kizuna is intended for people ages 13 and older. Please do not create an account or room for anyone under 13.
Health and emergency limits
Kizuna is not therapy, medical care, or emergency support. If someone may be in immediate danger, call local emergency services or a crisis line.
Third-party services
The app uses Apple platform services such as Sign in with Apple, Apple Push Notification service, and StoreKit for optional subscriptions. Kizuna uses Google AdMob for consent-gated advertising in the free tier. The app does not use analytics, attribution, crash-reporting, server-side transcription, or AI services for core functionality.
